ROMANTIC SUSPENSE

SONATA SUMMER is Ann's novel based in Aspen, where she worked and lived during the late '70s and early '80s.

Last summer Rhea Sinclair came to Aspen on a scholarship to the Aspen Music Festival and fell in love, first with the mountains, and then with Parker Sherwin, the attractive ranger at the Forest Service, in charge of volunteers. Their courtship led to Parker asking Rhea to marry him. Unfortunately, he was killed in a forest fire just days before their wedding. Devastated, Rhea decides to stay in Aspen and is now a second-year piano student at the Music Festival. Obsessed with Parker's memory and unable to let go, she meets Trey Michaels, an outfitter to whom she is attracted, but determined to resist. After all, no one can compare to Parker. But Trey is not easily deterred. Get a taste of the real Aspen from a local's point of view, and experience a horse campout to Snowmass Lake as well as a thrilling raft trip down the Colorado River, the life-threatening finale. Will Rhea decide to join Parker... or choose life and love?
